Fiji Kuta Mat

The gafigafi is a waist wrap mat woven from the kuta, a water pond reed which is unique to the Macuata Province in Fiji. The Fijian gafigafi or Tongan ta'ovala waist mat is worn for auspicious occasions and ceremonies.
